OCCULTATIONS PAR ASTÉROÏDES EN 1999


EXPLICATIONS RELATIVES À LA LECTURE DU TABLEAU


La première colonne indique la date ainsi que les heures (en Temps Universel) de début et de fin de surveillance du phénomène pour les régions d'Europe occidentale. L'astérisque indique un phénomène intéressant.

La 2e colonne donne les caractéristiques de l'astéroïde : numéro, nom, diamètre en km et la magnitude visuelle.

La 3e colonne reprend, selon le catalogue utilisé, la désignation, la magnitude visuelle (ou photographique en gras et italique), le spectre et les coordonnées astronomiques de l'étoile rapportées à l'équinoxe J2000.0.

La 4e colonne décrit le phénomène prévu avec sa chute d'éclat de magnitude (Dm) et sa durée maximum en secondes (Dur).

Et enfin, la dernière colonne contient les données concernant la Lune; son élongation à l'étoile (Elg) et son pourcentage éclairé (Pc).

EXPLANATIONS CONCERNING THE TABLE


The first column indicate the date and hours (in Universal Time) of beginning and end of the survey for western Europe. The asterisk indicate a interesting phenomenon.

The second column give the asteroidal caracteristics: number, name, diameter (in km) and visual magnitude.

The third column inform us about the designation, visual magnitude (or photographical, when it's printed in bold and italique), the spectra and the astronomical coordinate of the star referred to the J2000.0 equinox.

The fourth column give the drop in magnitude (Dm) and the maximum duration (Dur) expected in seconds.

Finally the last column indicate the elongation to the star (Elg) and the illuminated fraction of the Moon (Pct)

You will find the 1999 EAON program for asteroidal occultations in Europe. The list was calculated by Edwin Goffin. After discussion on unobservable events, the preliminary charts sent by Edwin were prepared by Jean Schwaenen. The zip file "eaon 1999.zip" contains two version of the list: ".doc" (Win Word 97 format), ".txt" (text format to be ameliorated).
