Pulsating Stars - Mira type, Semiregular, RV Tau Stars   :   CCD and visual observations


The files with CCD observations of Pulsating Stars - Long-period Variables (Mira type and Semiregular) and RV Tauri Stars include the following header: NAME - object name, VAR - coordinates, brightness range, type of object and reference; OBS - observers name, observing site and instrument type (diameter, focal ratio, type and specification of the CCD camera); RED - software used for processing of CCD frames; NOTE - date of observation and a list of frame numbers and exposure times for each standard filter; reference of photometry field (sequence, name of paper, authors) and a list of comparison stars (identifications, coordinates and BVRcIc brightness). Photometric data contain differential instrumental magnitudes in format: JD V-C s1 V-C1 s2 V-C2 s3 C-C1 s4 C-C2 s5 C1-C2 s6, ... where JD - Julian Date, V - variable, C - main comparison star, C1 - first check star, C2 -second check star, ... and s - standard deviations of all measurements). These data files were subsequently transformed to absolute instrumental magnitudes or standard magnitudes in Johnson-Cousins BVRcIc system. Data format is SPHE-MEDUZA: NAME JD MAG DATE OBS ERR CMP-STAR FLT where NAME- object name, JD - Julian Date, MAG - absolute instrumental or standard magnitude, DATE - date UT YYYY-MM-DD.DDD, OBS - an abbreviation of observers name, ERR - standard deviation of the measurement, CMP-STAR - description of comparison star (identification - e.g. GSC, USNO number, and standard brightness BVRcIc), FLT - detector and filter used (e.g. CCD+V), and abbreviation STD when measurement is in standard system.

The files with visual observations of Pulsating Stars - Long-period Variables (Mira type and Semiregular) and RV Tauri Stars include a header with object name, a reference to charts and sequence of comparison stars. Visual data have following format: JD DATE ESTIMATES MAG. AP.T F/ PWR SITE OBS where JD - Julian Date, DATE - date UT YYYY-MM-DD.DDD, ESTIMATES - estimates, MAG - visual magnitude, AP - telescope aperture (cm), T - telescope type (R - refractor, L - newton reflector, C - cassegrain), F/ - focal ratio, PWR - magnification, SITE - observing site and OBS - abbreviation of observer's name.

CCD and visual observations have been published in the MEDUZA database of Variable Star and Exoplanet Section of Czech Astronomical Society.
